Latitude CommTech resulted from an acquisition of CommTech Services Group, which was originally founded in 1990 by Paul Rogers. After starting work for Michigan Bell in 1970 and supervising telecommunications for Citizens Insurance Company of America, Paul began working as a freelance consultant. Things moved quickly from consulting to installation and the business grew in earnest, installing and maintaining telephone and wide area data network equipment. As the demand for high performance premise data cabling grew in the mid 1990s, so did CommTech's customer base.
