If you forget your voicemail password, follow these steps. They work on most contemporary Norstar and Nortel phone systems.

  1. Press “Feature” 983. “Log:” will appear on the phone's LCD display.
  2. Press 1020000# (3 digit extension numbers) or your current site password (i.e,. 1021234). “MBOX AA OTHER” will appear on the LCD display
  3. Press the key below “MBOX” (mailbox). “ADD DEL CHNG” will appear in the display.
  4. Select “CHNG” (change). “MBOX” will appear in the display.
  5. Enter the desired mailbox number, (usually the same number as the telephone extension). “PASSWORD” will appear in the display.
  6. Select “RESET”. When RESET is selected, “password reset” will appear in the display. The password has now been reset to “0000” (4 zeros).

Note: You will be required to change the password before accessing voicemail.

This was a huge help. Honestly for two years I have not used voicemail on my ext due to the fact we could not retrieve the password and didn't want to place a service call. It worked like a charm.
